We are writing live from the Life Futures Festival in Newton Square, Sydney. After being quite a distant observer to how this event is taking place in the past weeks, I am now officially a part of Live Futures 2020 Volunteers. Oh how the energy is bursting out in here!
In case you’re lost in my line of thoughts, I am Ati, the guest blogger for the Live Futures 2020. The turn of events which brought me here, if I may say, is at best as coincidental as it is an interesting twist of fate. Because one month ago, I was in Malaysia, and I came here to continue my postgraduate study. As I was looking for a room to rent, it happened that Janine Cahill, the CEO of Future Journeys and the main sponsor of this event, is now my landlady.
Now here I am writing in this blog!
Well, alright, first of all, I’m going to give you a few quick facts about the programme to allow you to warm up in this space. There are 4 tents set up around the place, spot the colour of the tent to visit the areas you’re interested in;
- BLUE – Technology and Future;
- BLACK – Virtual Worlds – Second Life;
- GREEN – Sustainability Space; and
- YELLOW -Youth and the Future.
Talk to the volunteers in red sweater if you need more information or if you’re unsure where to start, and I am one of them! Now I am going to visit the tents, talk to people, and I will be back to you with more stories.
Look out for more updates from me, ta!
