Can a nine-year old create a computer game which will change the way you think about the world? Can you?
Probably.
And at this year’s Live Futures 2020 Festival, not only will we show you how to create a computer game – it’s going to be in a workshop run by a nine year old!
Scratch is free software where anyone can create a computer game – and we’ll be holding facilitated Workshops at the Festival!
Scratch is, according to it’s creators at MIT Media Lab, designed to help young develop 21st century learning skills.
“As they create and share Scratch projects, young people learn important mathematical and computational ideas, while also learning to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively.”
This year’s Live Futures Festival we’re not only holding a Scratch Workshop, but a competition for the best Scratch game created.
